The Butterfly and the Bee
Took this photo while strolling around my neighborhood this morning in the blistering heat. My first sharp close up of a butterfly and a bee.
Road Trip to Virginia Beach
Then God said, "Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came." (Genesis 1:11)

Dragon Fly
"I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine." (Psalm 50:11)
I took this photo while vacationing in Virginia Beach this past week. The dragon flies were quite prolific in the area. My husband and I were seated outdoors at a restaurant and the dragon fly landed on a bush right in front of our table. Since I had my camera and zoom lens, I decided to zero in on the little fellow. I always wanted a close up of a bug of any sort. This is my first. Enjoy!

Last of the Spring Blooms
"Then God said, 'Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.' And it was so." (Genesis 1:11)

Macro Poinsettia Petals
Tested out my new Nikon 40 mm macro lens my wonderful husband bought me for Christmas. These are handheld shots so they're not as sharp as they should be. Next time I'll use my tripod like the pros say you should with macro photography, but I was at the mall and didn't have my tripod with me. Enjoy anyway! :-)

OK the weatherman said it was going to snow today, but I didn't want to believe it. After all, it's still fall. Many of the leaves haven't even fallen off the trees. But sure enough it's snowing. It began this morning, and it has continued throughout the afternoon. I'm so surprised. This is the first time I've ever seen snow in October. As a result, the weight of the snow coupled with the weight of the leaves have caused many limbs to snap on various trees. It's tough to see because the trees were so beautiful. But even amid the casualties of the tree limbs, I managed to find the beauty of the snow covered colorful leaves. Enjoy!
