Premature Snow in the Fall!

Saturday, October 29, 2011
OK the weatherman said it was going to snow today, but I didn't want to believe it. After all, it's still fall. Many of the leaves haven't even fallen off the trees. But sure enough it's snowing. It began this morning, and it has continued throughout the afternoon. I'm so surprised. This is the first time I've ever seen snow in October. As a result, the weight of the snow coupled with the weight of the leaves have caused many limbs to snap on various trees. It's tough to see because the trees were so beautiful. But even amid the casualties of the tree limbs, I managed to find the beauty of the snow covered colorful leaves. Enjoy!

Dear Judy,

What a fine study of the meeting of fall and winter. I don't think I have ever seen snow come so early. The trees just weren't quite ready for their new clothes!

Lovely shots,
Dawn

Hi Judith -

Cool shots, lady.

I especially like the one associated with
Job 37:6.

It's something looking at the fall leaves with snow on them. I can't recall ever seeing such.

Thank you, Judith, for sharing.

Wow, so gorgeous. A picture of fall and winter together. That's about as good as it gets.
Blessings,

Judy, Hi!
I loved these pictures of snow on the colorful autumn leaves. It seems like now would be a more appropriate time for that snowfall, right?!!
Happy New Year!
