"God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights" (Psalm 18:32-33)
Some beautiful captures.I was amazed seeing a buck around a smaller one, some impoundments they become very passive. I went out yesterday after white-tailed deer. It was fun to become so excited when I missed my biggest buck.I posted the pics on the news and am sure I started some deer fever.I really enjoy watching them.
Thanks! Is it unusual for a buck to be around a young deer? My guess is that was a young buck. A teenager perhaps? :-) I love the deer. For some reason they fascinate me. I'm so amazed I got such good shots of them. I took the pix with my zoom lens from the car. Although I did get out of the car to take the top photo and 3rd photo from the top. They won't let you get too close. They start running away if you do.
These are beautiful! I THINK it is the start of the mating season and deer hunting season this month. This morning I saw 7-8 of them moving through the trees behind my house. I love the coloring of their coat with the golden colors of fall!
Very nicely done, Judy, and from a car window too. We have a large wooded area behind our garden and in the 5 years we have been here I haven't seen a single deer. Then we drive along the back roads and there are several and of course I don't have a camera with me!
@Beatrice ... If you look at the leaf in the background (top right), you'll see the man's face. The eyes, nose, and mouth. It looks like he's smiling. lol

There's something about their eyes isn't there? Beautiful pictures, look like my front yard sometimes. Thanks for your creative eye.
